The Stride Scholarship

The Stride Scholarship.

$5,000 will be awarded to one applicant who demonstrates interest and dedication to health equity focused research and/or
community enrichment focused projects.

  • Eligibility limited to Black and/or Hispanic currently enrolled clinically focused graduate level students (including professional schools) as well as resident-level trainees training in the United States and territories. Eligible graduate programs are listed in the application*.

Representation Matters Student Scholarship

Thanks to our amazing #BGWCGives22 donors, Black Girl White Coat is excited to bring you more scholarships than ever this year! 

Let's start with our #RepresentationMatters Scholarship. 

This year we will award ten $500 scholarships to be used at the discretion of the recipient. Our hope is to help lessen the financial burden that comes along with the journey to a career in healthcare.

We appreciate all our students actively enrolled in the BGWC Mentorship Program! We would like to financial assist two hardworking mentees with $1,000 scholarships. 

Click below to find out if you are eligible for this scholarship. Of note, you are able to apply for both the $500 and $1,000 Representation Matters Student Scholarships if you meet eligibility criteria. Additionally, your BGWC Mentor must submit a letter of support on your behalf.

Medical Student Scholarship

Year after year we work to diversify the face of healthcare by supporting Black and Hispanic students. We want to go a step further by celebrating the work of our BGWC community members. 

Our inaugural Medical Student Scholarship will be awarded to two students who demonstrate interest in health equity work, addressing healthcare disparities, and/or community engagement projects. Each student will be awarded $1,500.
